Becoming Medicare Eligible
When you or your dependent become Medicare eligible, you must enroll in Medicare Parts A and B in order to continue eligibility for our retiree health care coverage.

*Remember, your medical plan eligibility is based on your home zip code. You must make changes within 31 days of the first day your new address takes effect, and if necessary, select a new medical plan.
Important Reminders
1. Contact the Social Security Administration to Enroll in Medicare
Call the Social Security Administration to enroll in Medicare Part A and B at (800) 772-1213 or visit the Social Security Administration website. Please keep in mind that if you intend to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Health Plan with Kaiser or Health Net you will need to make sure Stanford, the Health Plan and Social Security all have the same physical home address. You cannot use a PO Box for a Medicare Advantage home address.
