Aspiring gardeners and lovers of local, organic produce, welcome to Stanford's R&DE (Residential & Dining Enterprises) Seed Library! The library provides the Stanford community with convenient access to heirloom seeds, as well as an email newsletter full of gardening and seed saving information.
Members are notified of a new featured seed each month and can then “check out” seeds at the Arrillaga Family Dining Commons. Or, for $10 a year, join the Seed-of-the-Month Club to get them sent to you directly via ID mail.
Members are strongly encouraged to give back to the library by sharing seeds from their crop. Past seeds have included English peas, Bright Lights chard and St. Pierre heirloom tomatoes.
