What is one fun fact about you?
I spent a career working with my brain in journalism and communications but I love working with my hands - wood working, upholstery, jewelry making, art and gardening.
What is one thing that you like about working at Stanford?
I love working with smart people in service to educating the next generation.
Tell us briefly about an event, project, program or initiative you were involved with at Stanford that you're most proud of.
Designing an all-new website for the School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences (Stanford Earth) that won three awards.
What is one of your favorite memories while working at Stanford?
I had the honor of being the first one to apprise Michael Spence that he had won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001.
Leave your Legacy: What piece of guidance would you give a new hire at Stanford?
Network. Meet as many people in different departments as you can. They all have different points of view and ways of doing things effectively.
