What is one fun fact about you?
I plan our annual family vacations and activities, where we rent a big house and family from all over come together for one week. It's like herding cats, but it's always more fun than the year before.
What is one thing that you like about working at Stanford?
It's hard to narrow it down to just one but aspects I like the most are the diversity, the culture and beauty of the campus, personally- the familial yet professional camaraderie in our front office, and vast opportunities for physical and mental well being offered in the Be-well program.
Tell us briefly about an event, project, program or initiative you were involved with at Stanford that you're most proud of.
I'm really most proud of being part of an administrative team for our research groups and labs. Our work with award management, purchasing and accounting to name a few, are a vast contribution to our group's successful research projects.
What is one of your favorite memories while working at Stanford?
The multi-cultural spring fests, it was nice socializing with other staff on campus, and enjoying the food, music and performances from different cultural backgrounds.
Leave your Legacy: What piece of guidance would you give a new hire at Stanford?
Take advantage of Stanford's great benefits, start your retirement contributions as soon as you can, use your STAP funds, get involved in recreation and wellness, explore the campus, have lunch outside, visit the museum, and hoover tower among many other great places.
