What is one fun fact about you?
I've met all four members of The Ramones.
What is one thing that you like about working at Stanford?
Without a doubt, it's the PEOPLE I've been fortunate enough to meet and form relationships with.
Tell us briefly about an event, project, program or initiative you were involved with at Stanford that you're most proud of.
The construction and commissioning of the SPEAR3 accelerator. In July 2003, when I looked out at that construction site and then looked at the schedule that said user beams in October I thought "No way. Impossible." But to my amazement we pulled it off. I'll never underestimate my coworkers again!
What is one of your favorite memories while working at Stanford?
Working on the SLD Compton Polarimeter with "The Compton Cowboys," a term Marty Breidenbach coined for us for not exactly following established protocals :-)
Leave your Legacy: What piece of guidance would you give a new hire at Stanford?
You were born with two ears and one mouth for a reason. Use them in that proportion.
