Years at Stanford
What is one fun fact about you?
All these years I've used my Stanford webspace for a site on silent film actresses. My subsite on Norma Talmadge has become a useful resource for several researchers and has been cited in the New York Times Review of Books.
What is one thing that you like about working at Stanford?
I have the most splendid colleagues!
Tell us briefly about an event, project, program or initiative you were involved with at Stanford that you're most proud of.
I was invited to work on a project on videogame description with Henry Lowood and Glynn Edwards which lead me to writing a paper on the history of game cataloging and the Best practices for cataloging video games for OLAC. And as a non-gamer, I found this ironic but I learned a lot of fascinating stuff.
What is one of your favorite memories while working at Stanford?
I love walking around the campus early in the morning when hardly anyone is here. It's a beautiful time of day.
Leave your Legacy: What piece of guidance would you give a new hire at Stanford?
