A new resource that can help you on your fertility journey

As we highlighted in the benefits Open Enrollment news last fall, FertilityIQ is a digital education resource for hopeful parents.

The pathway to parenthood varies for each individual, and growing your family can cause significant uncertainty and stress. As we highlighted in the benefits Open Enrollment news last fall, there is a resource now available to benefits-eligible employees who may be on that journey: FertilityIQ.

This education platform complements the range of benefits and employee programs Stanford offers so that you can make informed decisions about your physical, emotional, and financial well-being.  

What is included in a FertilityIQ membership?

FertilityIQ is a digital education resource for hopeful parents, including those who want to conceive unassisted or with the help of treatment, those interested in fostering or adopting, LGBTQ+ families, solo parents, and those planning to preserve fertility via egg freezing. The FertilityIQ membership includes exclusive webinars and full access to their comprehensive courses featuring the most up-to-date information available to help you along the way. 

FertilityIQ offers you the largest U.S. database of patient-provided reviews of doctors and clinics. You can search by geography, similar diagnosis, age, orientation, treatment type, and more—making it possible to find critical insights with practical relevance. 

Your membership also includes two gift memberships for family members or friends who could benefit from access. Simply invite them upon login from your account; memberships are transferable at any time.

Make the most of what’s available to you

  1. Check with your health plan. FertilityIQ is an education platform that can inform how you may want to proceed. Another crucial step forward is understanding your health plan’s covered services and in-network providers. An overview of plan details can be found on the Cardinal at Work Comparison Tool.
     
  2. Find help with Stanford’s WorkLife Office. Resources for new parents and growing families may also be part of your discovery. Also, information on Stanford’s Adoption Assistance program, which expanded in 2022 to include eligible second-parent adoption.
  3. Speak to a professional. The Faculty Staff Help Center offers discussion groups and workshops on a variety of family-related topics, the FSHC also provides short-term, confidential counseling. Stanford benefited employees who are located outside of the state of California may access, SupportLinc, a dedicated out-of-state Employee Assistance Program.
