Female caregiver embraces elderly woman
May 28, 2019 -
12:30pm to 1:30pm
215 Panama Street, Poplar Modular, Building C (near Birch & Juniper modular)*

At this session, we will discuss strategies for family caregivers to maintain a calm and compassionate manner while responding to problematic behaviors such as agitation, resistance, anger, confusion and fear.  We will focus this discussion on communication issues identified by participants that may involve a care recipient who has cognitive loss, chronic pain and a family member who is presenting challenges to your role as a caregiver.

*NOTE: Lots of construction happening near Redwood Hall. Parking is very limited due to construction of new ChEM-H & Neuro buildings. Please plan accordingly if seeking parking near the modular. Parking alternatives: Via Ortega Garage, Searsville Lot, Stock Farm Garage and lots 17 & 18. Please see a map of the affected area and the parking alternatives.
