Managing Bias in Hiring (MBIH) - Free Course

Course overview:
This new 90-minute Managing Bias in Hiring workshop, a resource created as part of the Inclusive Talent Acquisition (ITA) program, gives practical experience identifying and mitigating bias. During this session, participants will learn about various types of biases that can surface in hiring and how to approach responding to these biases. The Zoom session will be facilitated by Kim Nugent, Director of Talent Management and Organization Development, and will include small group activities that will provide hiring managers and interview team members the opportunity to practice how to mitigate and manage bias during the selection process. 

While this is a free course, typically, we have a waitlist, so please only enroll if you can commit to attending the session.

Course objectives:
During the Managing Bias in Hiring session, participants will practice how to mitigate and manage bias during the selection process by engaging in an interactive workshop with actionable takeaways focused on various types of biases, how they manifest in the hiring process, strategies for managing these biases, and case studies.
