Mindfulness Meditation to Reduce Stress & Anxiety @Work

Course overview:
Mindfulness is described as the awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally wrote Jon Kabat-Zinn. Mindfulness meditation is the training that helps us discover and experience mindfulness in our lives. There are many benefits for mindfulness including stress reduction, improving physical and mental health, as well as improved focus, improved memory, and better sleep, just to name a few! Equally important, mindfulness meditation opens our perspectives and helps us be in harmony with our community and the planet, expanding our capacity to be empathetic and compassionate.

Isn’t it time we bring these benefits to our workday? Let’s improve our ability to manage the stress and anxiety associated with today’s demanding work environment and the challenges of remote and hybrid work. In this presentation, which includes a mindfulness talk and a mindfulness practice, we will cover the fundamentals of mindfulness meditation and how it can help reduce stress and anxiety at work.

This course will help learners with:
- Strategies, tools, and behaviors to help us discover and experience mindfulness in our lives
- Experiencing the benefits of mindfulness including stress reduction, improved physical and mental health, improved focus, improved memory, and better sleep
- Practical methods for managing stress and reducing burnout and anxiety at work

Format:
- Seven-Week series: Weekly 50-minute sessions via Zoom
- OR Half-Day course format: One 3-hour session via Zoom
- Online portal and a community feel supplemented by office hours

Course fee: $250 for Seven-Week series; $125 for Half-Day format
