Black, Unarmed, and Killed by Police: A Conversation with Stanford Law Professor Weisberg

Two of our staff affinity groups, the Black Staff Alliance and Stanford Staffers, teamed up to record a session with Law Professor Robert Weisberg. The session took place on June 5, 2020, and is intended to share Professor Weisberg's insights about the complex legal issues, and the criminal justice system in America, and specifically as associated with the tragic, recent police killings. Professor Weisberg is a Special Assistant to the Provost for Faculty Recruitment and Retention, Associate Dean for Curriculum and the Edwin E. Huddleson, Jr. Professor in the Law School.

The Q&A based on questions submitted prior to the session was moderated by Jennifer R. Cohen, Ph.D., Associate Director for Biosciences Diversity Programs, School of Medicine. The session was arranged by Kevin Hutcherson, chair of the Black Staff Alliance, and Karen Saltzman, Co-Chair of Stanford Staffers. The video is 57:05 and the last portion focuses on actions that can be taken.
