Summer is approaching—a season many of us look forward to for the longer days, sunshine and getaways.

This summer, though you may be unable to experience some of your typical routines and traditions, and may be confronted with a challenge - how can you use your time well this summer? Stanford is committed to supporting your development in a meaningful way. Explore some of our learning opportunities to identify ways to grow professionally or personally this summer. 

 

Working Remotely

The 12th Annual Techie Festival, sponsored by University IT, kicks off June 4, with two days of free virtual training sessions, including Connect your Stanford Collaboration Tools, Are Machines Ready to Take Over Your Job?, Smartsheets—The Future of Collaboration, and Impact of COVID-19 on Learning & Technical Training.

The Health Improvement Program (HIP)

The Health Improvement Program (HIP) offers STAP-approved, virtual wellness classes, apps and personalized sessions. All are BeWell Berry-eligible and some qualify for the BeWell Engagement incentive. Summer registration begins Tuesday, June 9, at 9:00 a.m.

Stanford Continuing Studies

Stanford Continuing Studies invites you to join their learning community with more than 100 courses and workshops in either a virtual format (live classes) or online (on-demand content; optional live meetings) beginning the week of June 22. 


Technology Training

Technology Training classes offer current and emerging technology training for personal and professional development. Choose from a variety of engaging virtual classes that support business apps and service management, graphic and media design, programming, data science, project management and Microsoft Office.

LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning is an online training library with more than 13,000 courses covering business, technology and creative topics, for all levels of learners. These videos are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can even be viewed on your mobile device.

Massive Online Open Courses

Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) offer a variety of classes from Stanford faculty and instructors through online platforms such as Coursera, edX, and Kadenze, a majority of them free and open to the public.

Professional Development

Professional Development offers courses to learn skills and techniques to improve your job performance and keep you on track for success. New online courses will be posted soon and are STAP-fund eligible.


Stanford on iTunes

Stanford on iTunes U offers podcasts, courses, lectures and more with an archive of audio and video content from schools, departments and programs across the university. You can access Stanford content on any device via iTunes.

Stanford Recreation and Wellness

Stanford Recreation and Wellness (Rec) is collaborating with partners across campus to provide free mental health webinars and wellness resources to support your health and keep you connected with the Stanford community.

The Stanford Center for Professional Development

The Stanford Center for Professional Development delivers Stanford content and education to learners on campus and around the world, online, on site, in person, and on. They also maintain an extensive library of on-demand lectures, seminars, and webinars that explore topics such as innovation and entrepreneurship, computer science, engineering, design and more through Stanford Online.
