A newly developed tool for hiring managers and talent recruiters has been created to support candidates receiving a timely and useful overview of primary benefits during the hiring process.
Called “Benefits Highlights,” this one-page tool is meant to showcase some of the plans and programs of most interest to candidates, such as health care, retirement savings, time off, and more—in a format that is “at a glance.” Hiring managers can send high interest candidates the flyer as an email attachment to enable them to understand their potential total compensation package.
A critical part of hiring the best and brightest is a positive and consistent candidate experience. Improvements are underway this spring to reduce the complexity and time it takes for candidates to search and apply for jobs, increase the efficiency of the job posting process for human resources professionals, and apply several applicant tracking and reporting system enhancements.
A focus on the candidate experience is an important ongoing effort for the Talent Management & Workforce Strategy department within University Human Resources. Additional work scheduled in 2019 will focus on developing useful resources for hiring managers for applicant management, behavioral interviewing, onboarding, job postings and more.
