Several websites are being upgraded this year, including the Cardinal at Work website for staff, faculty, and retirees, the Stanford Careers website for candidates, and the Stanford Redwood City website for staff who work at that campus.
Cardinal at Work
The Cardinal at Work website will undergo a migration to the latest version of the university’s content management system, Drupal, later this year. In preparation for moving over 2,500 web pages within the site, we need input from staff, faculty, and retirees so your needs can be incorporated into the migration project through a very brief input form.
As we work on migrating each web page in the coming months, we want to hear feedback about your experience with the website; what’s working/what do you like, and what’s not working/what needs improvement? Our goal is to implement enhancements that help you have a positive, user-friendly online experience to easily find content, access documents or tools, and quickly navigate to specific areas within the site.
Once migrated, the website is planned to launch in the fall quarter, and we’ll ask for volunteers to do user acceptance testing closer to the launch. If you have questions about the Cardinal at Work website migration, contact hrcommunications@stanford.edu.
Share your ideas about the Cardinal at Work website through May 21
By May 21, let us hear your ideas—good, bad, or indifferent—about content not currently on the Cardinal at Work site that you want to see, or disappointments you have with the current site, or specific features/content you like on the current site (so we can make sure we keep them!). Everyone who participates in our three-question survey and includes your email will be entered into a random prize drawing for e-gift cards.
Stanford Careers
Over a million prospective employees visit the Stanford Careers website each year, which is now nearing a complete redesign and will launch in late spring quarter. The website design focuses on a more candidate-centric approach and provides information about our mission, culture, the types of positions we offer, and details to help candidates identify career opportunities that are a match with their talents. The new site will look and function very differently from the current site and contain unique Stanford content and compelling new imagery that represents our diverse community and what sets us apart from other employers. We believe future candidates will get a better sense of all that we have to offer and learn key information about our workplace that encourages them to apply for just the right position. Stanford Redwood City
Staff working at the Stanford Redwood City (SRWC) campus visit their dedicated SRWC website regularly to stay informed about campus announcements, operations and events. Like the Cardinal at Work website, the SRWC website will migrate to the updated version of the Drupal content management system this year, taking advantage of new web page layouts that offer larger spaces for images and a fresh, clean look. Work is underway to migrate existing web pages, with a target of launching by early fall quarter. If you have questions about the SRWC website migration, please contact srwc-operations@stanford.edu.
