During our second annual Cardinal at Work Cares drive, employees donated personal care items for our local CityTeam homeless shelters and the Stanford Ronald McDonald House.
The result: 1,400 care gift packs and 10 additional boxes of oversized donated items! With two assembly parties this year, we also assembled 443 children's activity kits for young patients of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.
Our gallery includes photos during the donation drive and of volunteers at the two assembly parties (one at Huang Engineering Center, the second at 3160 Porter Drive), who sorted all items and assembled the care packs. Volunteers included President Marc Tessier-Lavigne, Provost Persis Drell, School of Engineering Dean Jennifer Widom and Vice President for Human Resources Elizabeth Zacharias, who all pitched in to help assemble care gift packs.
Thank you to all employees who donated items and/or volunteered at an assembly party, and especially to our department ambassadors, who coordinated the donation drive!
