In April, Norman Spaulding, Nelson Bowman Sweitzer and Marie B. Sweitzer Professor of Law, Co-Founder of ePluribus SLS Programming and Faculty Co-Director for ePluribus Stanford, will lead a discussion Cultivating Curiosity and Leading Constructive Dialogue. This is an interactive workshop built on the ePluribus Stanford initiative. You’ll gain practical skills in active listening and critical inquiry to navigate disagreements with respect and compassion.
In May, Campbell Frank, Lecturer in Management, Graduate School of Business will lead a 2-part course on Interpersonal Dynamics. Master the art of high-impact communication through foundational principles from Stanford’s legendary "Touchy Feely" course. You will build deep self-awareness and practical skills in active listening, empathy, and giving feedback to foster authentic, trust-based relationships. By the end of this two-part workshop, you’ll possess a concrete toolkit for navigating group dynamics and challenging conversations with clarity and influence.
Throughout June-August, Jeffrey Pfeffer, Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, and Jonathan Daves, Stanford LEAD: Corporation Innovation Program & WRT Ventures and Executive Coach, will lead a series of interactive sessions around Power & Influence. Through decades of research and expert executive coaching, you’ll learn to build effective social networks, navigate opposition, and develop the individual attributes that distinguish top leaders. The course culminates in a hands-on "Power Project," where you will apply these strategies in real-time to overcome professional roadblocks and achieve a major work objective. You'll walk away with a sophisticated toolkit for analyzing organizational dynamics and the confidence to speak and act with authority.
