How to apply for jobs as an internal candidate

Main content start

Internal Candidates

Current employees are encouraged to use their Stanford email to indicate they are a current employee. Additionally, on the first page of the application, the last question is "Please indicate how you heard about this Job". Please select "Current or Previous Stanford Relationship". Another dropdown menu will appear. Please choose "I am a current Stanford/SLAC Employee".

An internal candidate profile has been created for current Stanford Faculty and Staff in our Applicant Tracking System. If you have previously applied to jobs using your SUNetID, you can return to the Stanford Careers log in page and enter the password you have previously created. If this is your first time logging in as an employee, you will need to set up your password. Please follow the instructions below:

  • Enter your SUNetID email for User Name (example: JohnDoe at Stanford.edu)
  • Select the “Forgot your password?” link and follow the instructions to set up your password. If you have previously created a profile with a non-Stanford email, it can be merged with your internal profile. To do so, please submit a Help Ticket and include the email address associated with your external profile. *Note: Active employees can use ‘SUNetID@stanford.edu’ as their user name regardless of email account status. On April 29, 2019 we upgraded our Stanford Careers site. Please clear your browser cache and cookies settings.
