For eligible faculty and staff, submit your application between April 1 and July 1 to ensure that you receive the TGP authorization letter in advance of the start of your child's classes. Applications received after July 1 could delay the receipt of your authorization letter and may impact your child's ability to register for classes on time.
For benefits-eligible faculty and staff, including SLAC, follow the online applications steps below.
For SLAC Employees: If this is your first time submitting a TGP application, or if your last application submitted was prior to the 2015/2016 academic year, you must contact Claudia Ransom at firstname.lastname@example.org for first time access to the TGP portal. Once access is granted, you may log in as often as needed with no further approvals required.
For retirees, emeriti and/or beneficiaries of deceased employees, please view the Application Process for Retirees, Emeriti and Beneficiaries of Deceased Employees.
Submit applications using the TGP Portal in Employee Center within Axess.
If you are new to the Tuition Grant Program and haven’t submitted an application before, please prepare for a successful application submission and follow these initial steps:
Note: The required dependent eligibility documentation is only necessary with your initial application. If you have followed the steps above, click the link below to begin your application.
If you are returning to the Tuition Grant Program to submit an application for a new academic year, click the link above to begin your application.
You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application. At this time your application is in “Review.”
Once you receive an “Approval” email from the TGP, return to the TGP Portal to print the Parent Memo and the Authorization Letter. It is your responsibility to send the letter to your child's school. This is very important. The letter will verify that payment from Stanford is guaranteed and provides billing instructions for the school.
Note: The Authorization Letter does not apply if your child is attending Stanford University or if your benefit is taxable.
