In April, University Human Resources and Financial Management Services officially launched CardinalTemps, a program that offers a one-stop solution for managing the process of hiring temporary staff at Stanford.
The new program is administered by ZeroChaos, a managed service provider (MSP), that will oversee the requisition and candidate fulfillment process. Through a single web platform, the program aims to create a compliant, well-managed, flexible and financially sustainable pipeline of high-quality temporary talent to meet operational needs across the university.
Summary of Key Changes
CardinalTemps will be implemented over several phases, the first of which launched in April, and include:
Onboarding a broad range of hiring agencies, many of with whom hiring managers have worked with in the past; all current agencies that provide temporary workers to Stanford are required to join the program and work through our managed service provider, ZeroChaos
- Discontinuing StanfordTemps, which will no longer fill temporary staffing requests. Those who have been working with Stanford Temps were notified of this change the week of March 26. If you have questions regarding StanfordTemps, please contact Staffing Services
This new program will not affect temporary workers hired directly onto Stanford's payroll or independent contractors (hired directly or through a temporary agency). These features may be explored in future phases of the program.
