Diversity & Inclusion Resources for Managers

Managers hold a vital role to furthering our collective sense of community, belonging, and sustaining an inclusive and equitable workplace. IDEAL – Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access in a Learning Environment – is a university-wide initiative to provide resources and community events to support Stanford's long range vision and commitment to an inclusive, equitable community.

Information and resources for managers

Access information and tools that support you to demonstrate leadership with  your teams, to recruit and hire highly qualified, diverse, and engaged staff, to have meaningful dialogue and broaden our understanding of each other and the world around us.

In addition, view resources and tools related to your recruiting and hiring efforts, such as overcoming bias when interviewing; the information and tools are in the "Attract" section of the Manager Toolkit. The IDEAL Learning Journey

Encourage participation in the university's first diversity, equity, and inclusion experience for over 15,000 staff. Managers have special Learning Journey components focused on your role to have a positive work environment. Access the communication toolkit that has been created to help you talk with your teams.
