New Sequoia launch date
University HR, University IT, and Stanford leadership have determined that Sequoia, Stanford’s new HR and Payroll system, will launch during the first payroll cycle of July 2026.
This timing reflects careful consideration of several factors, including the university’s operational calendar, annual HR and payroll cycles, the system’s requirement to launch at the start of a quarter, and the preparation needed to ensure a successful transition for our community. With these in mind, July 2026 provides the best and most viable path forward.
Sequoia will bring together many of the tools and tasks employees use today into one connected system, improving how we manage personal information, payroll, time cards, and more. The additional time allows teams to complete essential testing and readiness activities, ensuring Sequoia delivers a reliable experience when it launches.
Until Sequoia is live, you will continue using the systems currently in place, such as Axess, Taleo, and the Stanford Careers site, to manage HR and payroll-related tasks.
You can learn more about Sequoia and what to expect by visiting the Cardinal at Work website.
Thank you for your patience and support as the university prepares for this important step forward.
