Sequoia continues to take shape ahead of July launch
As we move closer to Sequoia’s July 2026 launch, the system continues to evolve behind the scenes. Recent updates include refinements to the interface, giving it a cleaner, more modern look that aligns with Stanford’s brand identity.
Final system refinements underway
The Sequoia project team is actively testing key processes and incorporating feedback from testing groups across Stanford. This work is strengthening overall system performance and preparing Sequoia for a reliable user experience.
We use our HR and Payroll system to manage many of the essential tasks that keep Stanford’s workplace running. This includes submitting and approving timecards, tracking vacation, sick, and PTO balances, updating personal information, setting and managing annual performance goals, managing compensation, supporting the hiring and onboarding process, and more.
When Sequoia launches, many of these activities will take place in one integrated system. To better understand how Sequoia will support your daily work, read, Meet Sequoia: 5 things to expect with Stanford’s HR and Payroll system upgrade.
As part of the latest refinements, the interface has been refreshed with a streamlined design to complement the intuitive navigation. The color palette has also shifted from the earlier vibrant purple tones to brick-colored tones, bringing the system’s visual experience closer to Stanford’s brand identity. This updated look supports the goal of delivering a modern, user-friendly system with easier navigation and improved access to information. When Sequoia launches, you will notice a layout designed to make it easier to find pay information, job details, and personal data in one place.
