Discover Stanford’s new internal careers platform
Supporting employee growth also means helping your team understand the career opportunities available across Stanford. Opportunity Marketplace is Stanford's new internal careers platform within Sequoia, where employees can search and apply for internal jobs, explore career paths, and discover opportunities across the university. We encourage you to explore and become familiar with this new resource so you can confidently introduce it to employees. Your team members can explore the career paths Stanford offers, research roles by job family or grade, and set up alerts for future openings.
Additionally, if you have an open position that you are recruiting for and an employee reaches out to apply, please direct them to apply through the Opportunity Marketplace. This ensures their application is highlighted as an internal candidate and that the correct record is attached if they are hired.
Career success happens when an employee’s awareness and preparation meet the right opportunity at the right time. As a manager, you are the bridge that connects these three pieces.

The Opportunity Marketplace is also a resource for your professional journey, and a chance to develop your own career as a manager at Stanford. You can use the filters to search by management level and job grade to find the right fit for you.
Log in to Sequoia to get started
Log in to Sequoia and click the Opportunity Marketplace tile to get started. The first time you click on the tile, you’ll see the “Interests” screen, where you’ll have the option to set your own job alert preferences. To bypass setting up job alerts and see the openings in the marketplace, select the "cancel" button at the top right of the screen.
Once you log in, select the "Opportunity Marketplace" tile, as displayed in the image below.
