I-9

Please set up your I-9 appointment on our online portal. To comply with U.S law, you must complete section one of the I-9 on or before your first day and section 2 or 3 within your first three business days of hire at Stanford.

*Note: For those who work at SLAC, a team member will reach out to you directly to complete your I-9. For fully remote employees working outside of the Bay Area, please contact your local HR to provide options for completing your I-9.

If you need assistance with I-9s, please submit a help ticket to the HR Service Center. You can also download this handy I-9 At-a-Glance one-pager.

Stanford ID card

Right now you can only do physical badge pick-ups on Stanford campus. There is a Redwood City badging office, but that is currently closed with no set re-opening date. You must make a badging appointment to get a physical badge.

Retirement

Sign up for the monthly retirement overview session. If none of these dates work for your schedule, there is a recorded version of the presentation available on demand on Cardinal at Work.

Benefits

There is a benefits overview session every Tuesday at 11:00am PST. If Monday is a day off, the Stanford Onboarding orientation moves to Tuesday and the benefits overview session moves to Wednesday.

You can find the link to the benefits session in your welcome email from "welcome-to-stanford@stanford.edu."

You must enroll in benefits within 31 days of your start date. You must log in and make a selection even if you want to decline coverage. Those who do not make a selection within 31 days of their start date will be automatically enrolled.
