Back-Up Care Days from Bright Horizons
Even the best-planned child care arrangements can be disrupted from time to time. Benefits-eligible faculty and staff can access back-up in-home or center-based child care for up to 10 days every year. This care is subsidized by Stanford and costs $6 per hour for in-home care. For center-based care, there is a $15/day co-pay per child, with a maximum of $25 per family/day. Visit this Back-up Care page to learn how to sign up.
Using Back-Up Care Days for Summer Camp
- You can use your Back-up Care days to register for participating summer camps, including Steve & Kate’s Camp and Camp Galileo in the Bay Area.
- Once you set up your Back-up Care profile, log into the Bright Horizons portal, sort your benefits by “Child Care,” and book camps by selecting the “Camps for Children” card.
Additional discounts are available through the Bright Horizons portal:
- Free Premium Membership to Sittercity, an online search tool for caregivers, including providers who specialize in caring for children with disabilities, and home care services like house cleaning, pet sitting, and more
- Discounts to Steve & Kate’s Camps throughout the United States
