August 20, 2024 Update

On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Stanford presented its fourth package proposal for a 5-year contract. The University’s latest package proposal includes:

Bonus
Signing bonus of $1,000.00 if an agreement is reached by August 31 and ratified by the union membership

Wage Increases
Year 1 – 4.0%
Year 2 – 3.0%
Year 3 – 3.0%
Year 4 – 3.25%
Year 5 – 3.25%

Medical Contribution Assistance Program (MCAP)
Increase MCAP from the current household income maximum of $100,000.00 to $130,000.00

To date, the University and the Union have reached a total of 26 tentative agreements.  Although we continue to exchange proposals and the contract does not expire until August 31, the University is disappointed to learn that the Union has decided to take a strike authorization vote. 

We believe the University’s latest package proposal represents a fair offer, however, we will continue working with the Union to reach agreement on a new contract by August 31.
