*Note: Some departments and schools do not utilize the Central I-9 appointment locations to complete the verification process. Please check with your local HR point of contact to see if an appointment is needed.

Right now you can only do physical badge pick-ups on Stanford campus. There is a Redwood City badging office, but that is currently closed with no set re-opening date. You must make a badging appointment to get a physical badge.

You can sign up for the monthly retirement overview session at this link. If none of these dates work for your schedule, there is a recorded version of the presentation available on demand on Cardinal at Work.

There is a benefits overview session every Tuesday at 11:00am PST. If Monday is a day off, the Welcome Center orientation moves to Tuesday and the benefits overview session moves to Wednesday.

You can find the link to the benefits session in your welcome email from "welcome-to-stanford@stanford.edu." 

You must enroll in benefits within 31 days of your start date. You must log in and make a selection even if you want to decline coverage. Those who do not make a selection within 31 days of their start date will be automatically enrolled.

Please note: this program launched in February 2024

Yes, benefits-eligible employees who attend the Welcome Center will receive an email with a $25 Fanatics virtual discount code to use on our GoStanford website. Please note that you will receive the email within a week of starting at Stanford and that the discount code expires after 30 days.

The discount code does not cover shipping, handling, or tax. It also cannot be stacked with other codes.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide new discount codes to employees who have already received one. Please note that you have 30 days to use your discount code after receiving it.

This discount code only works on the GoStanford website; however, Stanford affiliates (including retirees) do receive a 10% discount at the Stanford bookstore on clothing, gifts and general books by showing a valid Stanford ID at the checkout line.
