Manager Academy Participation Policies

Attendance expectations

We are excited you are a participant of the Stanford Manager Academy. Your journey as a leader includes a financial investment from the university and your department. While we understand emergencies arise, it is important to make mutual commitments to this program. We are fully committed to providing a quality learning experience, and we ask participants to do the same by engaging in their scheduled classroom sessions.

Participants are expected to attend a minimum of 75% of the classroom session. (Example: If the session is two-hours long, 90 minutes would be considered as minimum attendance.) In addition, participants will attend workshops within their scheduled cohort and cannot attend workshops with a different cohort.

Make-up session policy

If a workshop is missed, participants can complete the coursework via the FranklinCovey accelerators. These notifications and resources will be sent automatically from the FranklinCovey Impact Platform. Please note, accelerators are not awarded retroactive credit in the FranklinCovey Impact Platform.

Drop Policy

We understand that work and life can be unpredictable, and you may need to drop from the program. Because the university and the sponsoring department have funded each individual’s participation, there is a cost that will be charged to the sponsoring department if the Manager Academy program is dropped after the drop date. Participants who drop after the deadline will be charged a $370 fee. If the Manager Academy program is dropped prior to the drop deadline, there is no cost.

To drop from the Manager Academy, please submit your request to learningdev@stanford.edu.
