Start Saving for Retirement
The Stanford Contributory Retirement Plan (SCRP) is available to help you achieve your financial goals. You can choose to contribute in the way that works best for you: Pre-tax, After-tax, or Roth.
Take these steps to get started saving:
1. Read about plan benefits
Visit the SCRP page for more information about the plan, including eligibility and enrollment.
2. Decide how much you can contribute
Use Fidelity's Contribution Maximizer tool to decide how much you can contribute every year. Don't forget that we automatically match your contribution after your first year of service. Learn more about Stanford's contributions.
3. Evaluate and select your investment funds
Read important information about investments offered in SCRP, such as asset allocation, past fund performance, and fees.
4. Make an appointment with a financial counselor
Financial counselors from our investment providers are available on campus and virtually to help you make investment decisions that will meet your financial goals. Schedule an appointment
