What is one fun fact about you?
My great grandfather advertised his Oak Barber Shop in Palo Alto to Stanford students around the turn of the 20th century. The ad read "A place that is up-to-date in every particular."
What is one thing that you like about working at Stanford?
I love the flexibility that my jobs at Stanford have given me to continue important, intellectually engaging work with wonderful colleagues while also having time for my family's important milestones, challenges and rewards.
What is one of your favorite memories while working at Stanford?
Early in my Stanford career, I was the Undergraduate Research Coordinator for the Biology Department. One of my projects was an undergraduate research journal, The Stanford Biologist. At that time, my son was in preschool and often joined me in my office. One day I found him "reading" the Stanford Biologist. He is now applying to field schools to start on his own research career.
