Choosing care for your child is a big decision. It is important that you feel comfortable with your choice, and that you feel confident that your child is in a safe and caring environment. There are many options for child care, and at times the search for the right one for your family can feel overwhelming.

In this workshop, you will learn

  • How to determine what matters most to you about child care
  • About benefits and considerations of child care centers, family child care, and in-home care
  • How to search for and select a program or care provider
  • How to make your child care experience a positive one
  • Financial considerations around care

This workshop is geared toward families with children younger than 5, including those currently pregnant or expecting to welcome a baby in the next year.

By attending this workshop and utilizing this Choosing Child Care Guide, you will be equipped with the knowledge and resources you need to select a care situation that feels right for your child and your family.
