The IDEAL Learning Journey Steps

Optional Open Discussion Groups

Learners are able to enroll in STARS for the Open Discussion Groups as soon as Part 1, the self-paced learning, is completed.

The purpose of these optional Open Discussion Groups is to offer a space for learners to discuss their feelings, learning experiences and to collaborate with others as we all work on taking meaningful action in your work setting.

Pilot Open Discussion Groups this summer

Learning journey participants who are in progress will be invited to sign up for a pilot Open Discussion Group. This facilitated discussion will help participants prepare for the Interactive Workshops (you can sign up even if you have already completed one of the interactive workshops). Participants will sign up in STARS. These optional open discussion groups are an opportunity for learners to orient yourselves to the ways of thinking in which you will engage during the two interactive workshops.

In a series of small group discussions/breakouts over the 90-minute session, you'll be asked to consider what you have learned so far in the learning journey, reflect on your current approach to navigating difficult conversations and engage in dialogue with peers about ongoing learning.
