What is one thing that you like about working at Stanford?
During my 35 years at Stanford, I've had the benefit of working both on the administrative/planning side of Stanford, as well as the academic side. Support for promotions and professional education helped me learn more about Stanford’s mission.
What is one of your favorite memories while working at Stanford?
I enjoy thinking back on my first years when I could drive down Serra Street from end to end, park next to my building with a $25 C permit and have Don Kennedy join our REPALMers (Real Estate Programs & Lands Management) softball team a few times after work. However, my most memorable and cherished experience was making friends with international students. They opened my eyes to completely new experiences and really educated me on how Stanford can have an affect around the world.
Leave your Legacy: What piece of guidance would you give a new hire at Stanford?
Take advantage of everything Stanford has to offer. For example, professional education, lectures, museum, concerts and walks around the beautiful campus.
